customers the best possible measurement and monitoring solutions, which naturally involves updating
and replacing items in our product range.
Since its launch in 2001, more than 8,000 VM600 rack-based machinery protection and/or condition
monitoring systems have been installed throughout the world and VM600 solutions are recognised
globally for their high quality, reliability and performance in the field. In 2021, the second-generation
VM600Mk2 system was launched in order to integrate the latest technology, improve performance, meet
our industry’s evolving demands, and ultimately to replace first-generation VM600 (VM600Mk1) systems.
Accordingly, this letter is to inform you that VM600Mk1 cards are being phased out with immediate effect
and that we will now offer and supply equivalent VM600Mk2 modules and systems for all new orders. This
accelerated end-of-life / last-time-buy announcement is primarily due to the obsolescence of various
electronic components and increasing difficulties due to the ongoing global electronic components
crisis.
However, the existing installed base and customers will continue to be supported with VM600Mk1 cards as
spares for as long as possible, subject to card availability. The impacted VM600Mk1 part numbers (PNRs)
are:
