The GE I/O Control Board DS200SIOBH1ABA features twenty jumpers and 3 switch blocks with 6 switches in each block for a total of 18 switches. It is also populated with one LED and one 40-pin connector. The jumpers on the GE I/O Control Board DS200SIOBH1ABA on the original board come with the jumpers set for the factory defaults. Before you install the board you can review the information in the printed material to learn about the alternate settings for the jumpers and how they change the operation of the board. Some of the jumpers only have one supported position and so cannot be changed.
When you find that the board must be replaced, the best practice is to set the jumpers in the new board to match the jumper positions on the old board. In this way the board will act the same and support the drive performance. First remove the old board by removing the screws that hold it in the board rack and use two hands to remove the board from the drive. Use care to keep the board from hitting the other components in the drive. Find a clean and dry surface nearby and flatten out a static protective bag. Place the old board on the bag. Open the sealed protective bag that contains the replacement board and slid out the board. Carry it with two hands and place it next to the old board. Set the switches to match the switch positions on the old board.
