PM820 PM825
The BLUESIL PRIM PM 820 & PRIM PM 820 UVT are particularly easy to process
because they are delivered ready to use. In all cases, they must be applied on clean
and dry surfaces.
The BLUESIL PRIM PM 820 & PRIM PM 820 UVT are applied with a fibre pad or a dry
clothe in a thin and uniform coat.
The working temperatures of the BLUESIL PRIM PM 820 & PRIM PM 820 UVT must
be respected: + 5°C to + 30°C. The use of the primers at higher temperatures will
cause a very fast evaporation and thus lead to irregular layers of primers.
In order to avoid hydrolysis phenomenon, it is recommended not to leave the tin of
primer in contact with atmospheric humidity but to fill only small amounts of primer into
a small beaker and re-seal the bottle immediately.
After applying the BLUESIL PRIM PM 820 & PRIM PM 820 UVT it is recommended to
wait a few minutes at room temperature to allow it to dry, before applying the silicone
elastomer on the primer-prepared surface. A maximum opened time of 6 hours should
be respected.
In all cases, if a hydrolysis phenomenon appears, it is recommended to remove the
primer and to re-apply it again.
With BLUESIL PRIM PM 820 UVT type, areas where primer is applied are detectable
with U.V. light and layers appear in blue colour.
Packaging The BLUESIL PRIM PM 820 & PRIM PM 820 UVT are delivered in 0.75 kg and 20 kg
containers.
Storage and shelf life When stored in its original unopened packaging, at a temperature of between + 5°C
and + 30°C, the BLUESIL PRIM PM 820 & PRIM PM 820 UVT may be stored for up to
12 months from the date of manufacture clearly marked on the packaging.
Beyond this date, Bluestar Silicones no longer guarantees that the product meets the
sales specifications.
