Description

The BC810 unit consists of two basic parts: baseplate (TP857) and

power supply/logic board. The baseplate is where the connectors to

CEX-Bus and the external power reside. Itis grounded to the DIN-rail

through metal parts of the housing. The board also carries the

external powervoting diode and fuse. The power supply and logic

board contains the +3.3 V converter, logic, drivers for CEX-Bus

interconnection and the connector for interconnection cable.

BC810 can be usedwith PM861A, PM862, PM864A, PM865, PM866,

PM866A and PM867.

In a fullyredundant systemwith two interlinked BC810 and

primary/backup CPU pair,the BC810 support online replacement of

the CPU baseplatewithout disturbing the CEX traffic. If the BC810

has to be replaced, alltraffic to the connected CEX segment are

stopped.

The CEX-Bus is used for extending the on-board communication

ports with communication interface units. Itis also possible to use

redundant communication interfaces on the CEX-Bus. The CEX-Bus

Interconnection unit BC810 is used to increase the availability on the

CEX-Bus by dividing itinto separate segments. This improves the

availabilityin systems with redundant communication interfaces.

Our understanding of programmable controllers began in the introduction of complete sets of equipment from the late 1970s to the early 1980s. At that time, more than 200 programmable controllers of more than ten models were introduced in many projects of Shanghai Baosteel Phase I Project. These programmable controllers are used in the whole steel smelting and processing production line from raw material wharf to blast furnace, steel rolling and steel pipe, replacing the traditional relay logic system, and partially replacing analog control and small DDC system. After Baosteel Phase I project, many domestic manufacturers have introduced equipment and production lines that are mostly equipped with programmable controllers, which are applied in power stations, petrochemical industry, automobile manufacturing, ports and docks and other fields. It is in the process of introducing complete sets of equipment that we have opened our eyes and learned about programmable controllers, which has also promoted the development of programmable controllers in China.
