It transmits data between the FieldCon-trollers, the operator stations, the engineering station and the process stations via coax. or fiber-optic cables.The Process station bus (CAN) connects a maximum of five I/O units to the AC 800F. It is used totransmit the input/output values from the AC 800F to the I/O modules. For this purpose, the AC800F is equipped with fieldbus module FI 810F.The serial interface Modbus connects subsystems – e.g. balances, bar code readers, etc. – tothe system, preferably via the RS485 interface.
