The function of the PLC internal input circuit is to send the voltage signal provided by the PLC external circuit (such as travel switch, button, sensor, etc.) that meets the requirements of the PLC input circuit to the PLC internal circuit through the photoelectric coupling circuit. The input circuit usually improves the anti-interference ability by means of photoelectric isolation and resistance-capacitance filtering, and the input response time is generally between 0.1~15ms. According to the different forms of input signals, it can be divided into analog I/O units and digital I/O units. According to the different forms of input units, it can be divided into basic I/O units and extended I/O units.

I/O expansion interface

The programmable controller uses the I/O expansion interface to connect the I/O expansion unit with the basic unit of PLC. When the input or output points of the basic I/O unit are not enough, the I/O expansion unit can be used to expand the switching I/O points and increase the analog I/O terminals.
