The GE Emergency Overspeed Board DS200TCEAG1A features one microprocessor and multiple programmable read only memory (PROM) modules. It also contains 3 fuses, 30 jumpers, and 2 bayonet connectors. The PROM modules store the firmware and operating instructions used by the microprocessor. When you replace the GE Emergency Overspeed Board DS200TCEAG1A you will note that the replacement board is not populated with PROM modules. The replacement board is populated with the PROM sockets but the PROM modules are not installed. Since the PROM modules are easily removed and installed, you will find it is a simple task to move the modules.
