The GE Fanuc / Ramix CP238 Series Multi-purpose PMC Expansion Cards for cPCI are 6U CompactPCI form factor cards with two PMC slots.

The two PMC slots are 32 or 64 bits wide running at 33/66 MHz. For the PMC cards that route the I/O to the rear, the CP238 uses the J3/J5 connector of the CompactPCI for the I/O pins. The secondary side always runs at 66 MHz unless one of the added PMC modules runs at 33 MHz, regardless of the primary side speed. It also offers full Hot Swap register to control the Blue Light.

PLC can be used to control circular motion or linear motion. In terms of control mechanism configuration, in the early days, it was directly used to connect the position sensor and actuator with the switching value I/O module, but now it generally uses a dedicated motion control module. For example, single axis or multi axis position control module that can drive stepping motor or servo motor.
