The basic automation system adopts ABB’s RMC200 steel rolling control system, which is an open distributed control system consisting of a set of MP200/1 process stations and a set of AS520 operator stations. The process station is composed of a CPU rack and an I/O rack. The operator station adopts HP-UNIX workstation, which is connected to the redundant interface of MasterBus300 through the real-time accelerator board.
