The output latch corresponds to the output mapping area in the PLC memory. An output latch also has a bit corresponding to it, which is called an output relay or output coil. By running the system program, the state of the output relay is mapped to the output latch. This mapping is also called output refresh. Product Description
Exciter Regulator I/O Board IS200ERIOH1A provides inputs and outputs for system and custom forms in the EX2100 Series. This board can be used in either simplex or redundant mode. When the board is being used in redundant mode three IS200ERIOH1A are needed to operate properly; the typical mounting places for the board in redundant mode are the ERRB M2, ERBP M1, and C controllers. When using the model in simplex mode the board will be mounted in the ERBP backplane.

On the surface of the IS200ERIOH1A, there are a few components, such as a toggle switch. The board also has two CPU sockets along with two backplane connectors labeled as P1 and P2. The field programmable gateway array (FPGA) located on the board is used for controlling data acquisition and storing it into the DPM model.

On the faceplate of this model, there are three LED indicators, active, power, and on. On the bottom of the faceplate, there is a reset button. There are three connectors on the front faceplate as well, one of the connectors is used for an EPCT model, one is used to test, and the third is used for the ECTB model.
