PLC generally accepts the on-off signals input from travel switches, limit switches, etc. The input terminal block is the port for PLC and external sensor load conversion signal. Input wiring generally refers to the wiring between the external sensor and the input port.
The input device can be any passive contact or NPN tube with open collector. When the input device is connected, the input terminal is connected, the input line is closed, and the LED for input indication is on.
The primary circuit and secondary circuit at the input end are isolated by photoelectric coupling. The secondary circuit is equipped with RC filter to prevent PLC misoperation due to input contact jitter or electrical noise connected in series from the input line.
If diodes are connected in series in the input contact circuit, the voltage on the diodes in series shall be less than 4 V. If reed switch with LED is used, the number of diodes in series shall not exceed two.
In addition, pay special attention to the following points for input wiring:
Input wiring shall not exceed 30m generally. However, if the environmental interference is small and the voltage drop is small, the input wiring can be appropriately longer.
Input and output lines cannot use the same cable. Input and output lines should be separated.
The width of the pulse signal that the programmable controller can accept should be greater than the time of the scanning cycle.

Product Description
The IS200STCIH6A is a DIN Rail Contact Terminal Board for a GE Mark VI series turbine control system.
The IS200STCIH6A is a printed circuit board (PCB) that has many different components. There are two large nickel-sized factory drilled holes on the right and left sides of the board. There are also two factory drilled reinforced terminal holes on the bottom left and right corners of the board. Next to the bottom holes are two terminal strips that are numerically labeled. The top set is labeled 1-51 with only the odd numbers while the bottom set is labeled 2-52 with all of the even numbers. There is an RS-232 37-pin female port on the top center edge of the board. The part number label for this board is on the bottom right side of the board in between the corner and large factory drilled holes. There is a white 3-pin jumper just above the top terminal strip on the left side of the board. This PCB also contains 2 transistors, 91 resistors, 27 diodes, and 24 capacitors.
The IS200STCIH6A is a PCB and should be handled carefully. Antistatic procedures should be implemented to prevent any type of damage to the board due to a build-up and release of static electricity. The board should be kept in an antistatic bag or box until it can be installed. When installing the IS200STCIH6A, an antistatic wristband should be worn. To help with installation, it is advisable to make a note of the wiring and cable positions on the old board this one is replacing.
