The IS420UCSBH1A controller is the first UCSB controller manufactured by GE as part of the Mark VIe Control Safety System family. The controller is similar to the UCSC controller. Although it does not have the same hardware, the software required to operate the controller is almost the same. IS420UCSBH1A controllers are labeled as Mark VIe, LS2100e and EX2100e controllers according to GEH-6725 Mark VIe and Mark VIeS Guide to Hazard Installations for Control Equipment. The controller also uses a specific microprocessor. The microprocessor installed in the device is a 600 MHz EP80579 Intel processor.

On page 22 of the GEH-6725 Instruction Guide, there is a small table marked with the electrical/power ratings required to supply power to IS420UCSBH1A. The ratings are as follows: the minimum voltage is 18 DC, the maximum voltage is 30 VDC, and the rated power is 24 and 28 VDC. The maximum rated current used by this device is 1.5 ADC.
