Description
National Instruments cFP-AI-111 Analog Input Module for Compact FieldPoint
Designed for FieldPoint and Compact FieldPoint, the National Instruments cFP-AI-111 (Part Number: 777318-111) is a 16-Channel, 16-bit Analog Input Module. The channels on this model are single-ended analog input channels. It has an input impedance of 100 Ω. This model also has three filter settings, 50 Hz, 60 Hz and 500 Hz, as well as three input ranges, ±20 mA, 4 mA to 20 mA, and 0mA to 20 mA. Additionally, the device has an update rate of 3 Hz to 0.83 Hz. The NI cFP-AI-111 offers integrated overvoltage protection for transients up to 2,300 Vrms. This Analog Input Module can be installed on an already running and powered, Compact FieldPoint backplane since it will not disrupt the ongoing operation of the bank.
The 16 input channels on the National Instruments cFP-AI-111 module share a common, isolated ground reference. These input channels operate under an integrated overcurrent protection set at ±30 mA. In current measurements, the current entering Iin terminal is taken as positive, whereas the current departing the terminal (Iin) is read as negative.
The over-ranging feature incorporated in this Analog Input Module enables the device to measure 5% beyond each range`s nominals. Thus, the user will be able to measure ±21 mA with ±20 mA range selected. The filter provided in this device offers three settings for each channel. These filters are comb filters; thus, they offer notches of rejection at harmonics or multiples of any fundamental frequency. At the fundamental frequency, 95 dB of rejection is applied and at least 60 dB of rejection is offered at harmonics.
The NI device weighs 4.8 oz, and measures 4.3 x 4.3 x 3.6 in. in physical dimensions. It has a recommended operating temperature range of –40 to 70 °C, a storage temperature range of –55 to 85 °C, a noncondensing humidity range of 10 to 90% RH, and a random and sinusoidal operating vibration of 5 grms and 5 g respectively – all at a frequency range of 10 to 500 Hz.
cFP-AI-111 Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the input module will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
The cFP-AI-111 is available to be calibrated. While the recommended calibration period for individual parts varies, most parts should be calibrated either annually or every two years to ensure accuracy. If you need the cFP-AI-111 calibrated, Apex Waves provides options. We offer high-quality NIST accredited calibrations through a 3rd party, with an average turnaround time of 1 to 2 weeks. When you order the cFP-AI-111 with us, you can request basic (unaccredited) in-house calibration that will calibrate the part to the manufacturer specifications prior to being shipped. Call or email us today for more information about calibrating the cFP-AI-111!
