The G408 has 18 input range settings. Trimpotentiometers allow 50% input zero andspan adjustability within each of the 18 fullscale input ranges.Unless otherwise specified, the factory pre-sets the Model G408-0001 and G408-1001as follows:G408-0001Input Range:4-20mAOutput Range:4-20mAG408-1001Input Range:4-20mAOutput Range:-10 to +10VThe DC power input accepts any sourcebetween9 and 30V; typically a 12V or24VDC source is used (see Accessories).To minumize interference from electricaland magnetic fields, the use of shielded,twisted pair wires on the input and outputis recommended.WARNING! Do not change switch settingswith power applied. Severe damage will result!Refer to Tables 1 through 4 for the properswitch settings. Use the switches on SW1 toselect the input type (voltage or current) andalso to select the desired input range andfunction setting. After configuring the DIP switches, con-nect the input to a calibrated DC source.Connect the output to the actual device load(or a load approximately equivalent to thedevice load) and apply power.Note: To maximize thermal stability, finalcalibration should be performed in the oper-ating installation, allowing approximately 1to 2 hours for warm up and thermal equilib-rium of the system
