PLC is developing towards high-performance miniaturization. The functions of PLC are becoming richer and smaller. PLC is no longer the product that can only perform switching logic operation in the early stage, but has more and more powerful analog processing capability, and other advanced processing capabilities that can only be achieved on computers in the past, such as floating point operation, PID regulation, temperature control, precise positioning, step drive, report statistics, etc. In this sense, the difference between PLC system and DCS (Distributed Control System) has become smaller and smaller, and PLC can also constitute a process control system.
